Garments Care

Lingerie

Washing

Only hand wash in cold water with mild or specialist detergent, dab with a towel and dry flat. When possible, leave to dry outside in a shady area; avoid direct sunlight.

We always pre-wash and prepare our fabrics, but a bit of discolouration is normal.

Glossy surfaces care

Glossy surfaces like pvc will likely need polishing – any dry cloth will do the trick. For extra shine use a little windex or other alcohol based glass cleaning products!

Corset Care

Wearing

To lace up your corset, tighten the laces from the top down to the loops at your waist, then from the bottom up to the same loops at your waist. Leave an even gap between the lacing panels – they should not touch, and be parallel to each other.

Tie the laces in a bow at waist level.

Always lace up snugly, but never uncomfortably so. Absolutely remove your corset if it starts hurting.

Cleaning

Never put your corset in the washing machine and no tumble dry.

You can use a soft cloth brush and/or a lint roller both outside and inside your corset to remove most of the dust and various residues.

All of our corsets are lined in cotton to protect the strength layer from direct skin contact. To clean the lining, you can wipe it down with a damp and soapy, undyed cloth; be careful to never wet the fabric enough to seep through as the strength and fashion layers of corsets should never get wet. Alternatively, lightly mist the inside with rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and leave to dry.

Storing

Before putting your corset in storage, you’ll have to air it out after each use, and the best way is to hang it inside out over the back of a chair.

Do not place the corset under direct sunlight, as repeated exposure may discolor or otherwise ruin your fashion fabric.

We recommend storing your corset laid flat in its original box or in a non-dyed fabric bag. If our original package had supports for the curviest bits of the design, you can keep those to help your garment maintain its original shape.
